FAQ

Honest answers to the questions that come up most — about coaching, how sessions work, confidentiality, and pricing.

What is Tranquil Haven Coaching?

Tranquil Haven Coaching is a private, psychologically-informed coaching practice for women seeking emotional clarity, relationship insight, and support through life transitions.

The practice focuses on reflection, awareness, communication, and personal growth within a structured coaching framework.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a structured, reflective and collaborative process that supports individuals in gaining clarity, understanding patterns, and making intentional decisions in their personal lives.

Unlike therapy, coaching does not focus on diagnosing or treating mental health conditions or working through clinical trauma. Instead, it is forward-focused and centered on awareness, choice, and personal growth.

In coaching conversations, clients are invited to slow down, reflect, and explore what feels unclear or overwhelming in a supportive and non-judgmental space.

The coaching process may help you:

  • Gain emotional clarity
  • Understand recurring patterns in relationships and communication
  • Explore decisions and life transitions
  • Develop greater self-awareness
  • Create more intentional ways of responding to life situations

Coaching does not provide answers or directives. It creates space for insight, reflection, and personal alignment to emerge naturally. Coaching is like a lighthouse: it softly illuminates your path and helps you see more clearly, while you confidently navigate the journey yourself.

What is your coaching style?

Tranquil Haven Coaching is not a high-intensity, performance-driven or motivational coaching practice. This is not a “push harder, do more, achieve faster” approach.

The work here is quiet, reflective, and grounded in emotional safety, clarity, and trust. Sessions are designed to create space rather than pressure — allowing thoughts, emotions, and patterns to unfold at a natural pace.

The coaching approach is highly individualized and always client-centered. Each session adapts to what the client needs in the moment — whether that is reflection, silence, processing emotions, or gaining clarity through structured conversation.

Within a coaching framework, clients are welcome to express a full range of human experience — including laughter, tears, frustration, or emotional release — as part of exploring what is present for them. The focus is always on supporting awareness and understanding, not directing emotional expression.

The focus is not on forcing change, but on understanding yourself more deeply so that change becomes more intentional and sustainable.

What kind of topics can coaching help with?

Coaching may be helpful for:

  • Relationship communication and dynamics
  • Emotional overwhelm and clarity
  • Boundaries and self-awareness
  • Family and relational challenges
  • Life transitions and relocation
  • Identity and personal direction

Coaching is focused on present and future-oriented reflection and personal growth.

Do you guarantee results?

No. Coaching does not guarantee specific outcomes.

Coaching is a collaborative process between coach and client. The coach does not “fix” or “change” the client, and does not provide direct solutions or instructions.

Instead, the coach serves as a reflective partner — offering structure, perspective, and questions that may help bring clarity and awareness.

The client remains fully responsible for their own decisions, actions, and results. Progress depends on the client's engagement, reflection, and willingness to apply insights in their own life.

Coaching can be understood as having a lighthouse — it can illuminate direction and help you see more clearly, but you are the one who moves through the path.

Is this therapy or counseling?

No. Tranquil Haven Coaching does not provide psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment.

This is a coaching practice only. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure mental health conditions.

Are you a licensed therapist or psychologist in the United States?

No. I am not a licensed therapist, psychologist, or mental health provider in the United States.

I am an ICF Member and trained coach with extensive education in psychology-informed coaching and family systems approaches.

Do you work with mental health conditions?

No. Coaching is not appropriate for clinical mental health conditions such as severe depression, PTSD, eating disorders, substance abuse, or suicidal ideation.

If such concerns are present, I may recommend working with a licensed mental health professional.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching may be a good fit if you are seeking:

  • More emotional clarity
  • Support in understanding patterns in relationships
  • Space for reflection and decision-making
  • A structured but non-clinical approach to personal growth

If clinical support is needed, therapy may be more appropriate.

How are sessions conducted?

Sessions are conducted online via a secure video platform (Zoom), allowing for real-time, face-to-face coaching conversations.

A stable, private environment is required for sessions, so clients are asked to join from a space where they can speak freely without interruptions and maintain confidentiality.

Is confidentiality maintained?

Yes. All coaching sessions are confidential within legal and ethical limits.

Confidentiality may be limited only in situations where there is risk of harm to self or others, as required by law.

Tranquil Haven Coaching operates in alignment with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics.
